I build AI systems, focusing on turn-based strategy games. My recent work includes a high-performance generic AlphaZero research framework. Currently I am working on building the first superhuman (by 2026 standards) Scrabble AI.
I co-led a high-frequency trading team at Jump Trading during the years 2008-2012, focusing on problems in systems engineering and quantitative modeling. Prior to that, I worked as a software engineer at Google/YouTube.
I received Bachelor's Degrees in Mathematics (Course 18) and EECS (Course 6) at MIT, as well as an M. Eng. degree in EECS at MIT.
